VIII INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE 'SPORTS MANAGEMENT IN THE FACE OF UNCERTAINTY'

Partners

Organizers of this Conference have been challenged with a difficult task of formulating an agenda in so-called “conditions of uncertainty”, when every day brings news about postponement of matches and entire tournaments, about the number of sick people, about the impossibility of flying and holding sports competitions. We know that 2020-2021 will go down in history as years of a global pandemic and large-scale shocks associated with this phenomenon. COVID-19 has divided our history between “before” and “after”, and has put entire sectors of the economy on the brink of survival, including the entertainment and sports industries. The pandemic is forcing the copyright holders of sports projects to make grandiose changes related to the competitions’ calendars, business models of sports formats, electronic simulators of various sports, new management models in sports, and criteria for the effectiveness of the sports economy.

The first part of the Conference is dedicated to the pandemic and sports.

Over the past century, there have been created a centralized management system in sports at the global level, a unified international calendar of competitions, and a global information broadcasting system. At the same time, at one point, the sports infrastructure has turned out to be inaccessible to consumers, and tournaments and competitions have stopped due to the pandemic. The economy of sustainable sports has collapsed, business models turned out to be ineffective, and urgent solutions are needed. Hence, in the first part of the Conference the issue of sports future will be discussed.

The second part of the Conference is about sports and doping.

The Conference participants will discuss modern features of anti-doping regulation and alternative ways to combat doping. Second panel of the Conference will analyze and discuss various factors affecting purity of sports in the global world; this panel being attended by the world’s leading scientists and specialists in this field.

The third part of the Conference is sub-panels:

  • Managing Sports Organizations and Projects during a Pandemic
  • Potential of Sports Law in the Face of Changes
  • Management of Sports Media Space in the Post-pandemic World

A link will be sent to the registered conference participants, to the email addresses specified during registration no later than 17:00 on March 24, 2021
